ANOTHER GUNS GATHERING TO GRACE THE WHISKY?

MTV NEWS STAFF
01/29/1999

If the recent jam session with former Gunners at Slamdance wasn't enough for long-suffering Guns N' Roses fans, a show at the Whisky in L.A. on Saturday night in conjunction with the NAMM music merchandisers convention may be offering another taste in the form of a partial reunion. The confirmed line-up includes former bassist Duff McKagan headlining the night, and a set by former Guns guitarist Gilby Clarke which is tentatively scheduled to include Tracii Guns, who formed the original Guns N' Roses with Axl Rose. Joining Clarke will be Teddy (Zig Zag) Andreas, who sings with Slash in his side project, Bluesball, and former Kiss member Eric Singer.

Adding even more fuel to the fire, the bill includes DPM (also known as Dad's Porno Mag), which includes Ryan Roxie, Slash's current guitarist. Slash is not scheduled to appear, but given the number of friends onstage, his presence is a distinct possibility.

The night's line-up is also notable for the inclusion of an acoustic set by Jani Lane and at least some (if not all) of his Warrant bandmates. Rounding out the bill will be slide player Eric Sardinas and the group Mudslick.
